SPOILERS: I thought this was a fun read-perfect for when hubby was out of town and I could stay up late and read in bed. I liked that it was a complete story-it seems like everything needs to be a series and end in a cliff hanger these days. I was waiting the entire time for her real mother to show up - maybe she's waiting for the sequel. The queen's reactions were weird, they were hints that she cared about Sinda, but even after she saves the kingdom, she pretty much ignores her.
ReplyDeleteTara - how funny that you talked about it being a stand-alone book! When we discussed it, it was decided that it indeed could have been left open for at least one sequel! I absolutely loved the characters. They all were brave, especially in the face of adversity and evil and I loved the fact that 'magic' isn't everything. Nice to indulge in a fun read.
